Who We Are:
Allow us to introduce ourselves! We are Anne and Andy Walls, champion level partners and dance instructors - as well as a happily married couple! We are the owners of Dance With Me, a premiere dance company based of out Springfield, Missouri. We’ve taught students from all over the country in many styles of dance. Our students range in all ages and come from all walks of life.
We travel to compete, for advanced dance training, and to teach or host special events all around the country. We encourage our students to both enjoy dancing and learn as much about it as they can. Our training comes from a wide variety of sources, from renowned personalities like Tony Dovolani and prestigious dance programs like Brigham Young University.
We have choreographed for and performed on stage with the Platters, plus we do choreography and perform with the Messiah Project. We have worked with a number of groups, for dance training, hosting special events, coordinating and hosting charity balls, as well as performances with just ourselves, or with other professionals.
Our dance company is something we are proud of and we strive to offer dance instruction in a way that will appeal to as many people as possible, because we love having a passion we share and we love sharing it with others even more! We enjoy offering instruction in a wide variety of venues, from teaching out of our home, to different dance studios, high school gymnasiums, churches, community centers, nightclubs, restaurants, and even art galleries. Some people don’t dance, because it’s not somewhere they would normally go to or it’s someplace they don’t feel comfortable going to. We’re hoping that by taking away that barrier, even more people can be exposed to dance that otherwise may never have thought twice about it.
We met through mutual friends on a dance floor. We later became engaged on a dance floor... and we were married in a hot air balloon... ok, so maybe not EVERYTHING we do involves a dance floor, but a lot does. At our wedding reception, we waltzed for our first dance. Our friend, Ned Wilkinson, an amazing musician, composer, and jingle writer, helped us edit our song, Still Me, by Erkan Aki (a wonderful version of the Ludlows theme from Legends of the Fall). One of the services we are able to offer our dance students is the customization of the song of their choice for their first dance by our musical genious friend, Ned. The memory of our first dance is one of our most dearest treasures. We love sharing dance with other couples and enjoy helping others create their own wonderful memories to relive.
